These students are freshmen entering a very rigorous arts high school. Most of them are nervous and excited. I want to help instill calmness by being organized. Everything has it's place: your supplies go in the box and in your labeled cabinet, your artwork goes in your portfolio. The students will take ownership over their artwork and how they take care of it. The drawing boards will allow the students to practice perspective in the hallways, figure drawing in the dance studios and easel drawing in the classroom. They will also help the young artists feel serious and professional when they are drawing.

About my class
