As a first year teacher, my classroom’s furniture is the bare minimum. I want my students to walk into the classroom and see our reading area as an exciting space to sit on comfy floor seats and enjoy a book from our new fully stocked library. The reading area will also serve as a small group collaborative work space for the students that all students will use daily during our station rotations. This will give students more variety for working areas. The rug will also provide students the opportunity to lay down on the floor, which they love to do while reading. Thank you.
