On a daily basis I explain real world problems to my students and require them to develop a solution with their team. Many of the problems tie strongly with aerospace engineering. My Scientific Research Design and Engineering Design and Problem Solving students are required every year to build a 4 to 6 ft rocket to meet specific criteria. We travel to Fredricksburg where there is a live stream of the students from all over the state launching their rockets. This 3D printer will assist my students in creating and designing components for their rockets, for a successful launch. Not only does this material help with my specific courses many other contents will be able to achieve their own student learning. ART/Vase students can use it to create beautiful works of art that they designed. Our Computer Science course can build their own carrying device for the mini computer they build. The 3D modeling and design skills are used in many of today's careers. Architects use 3D modeling software to design homes and businesses, as well as graphic design artist. Imagination is the only limitation!
