Due to my students coming from lower socio-economic backgrounds, many of them have never had the opportunity to travel. Reach the World allows my students to learn about the world from the comfort of our classroom. Classrooms are matched up with travelers who blog their daily lives while living in a specific country. The traveler during our journey will send videos, pictures, and answer any questions we have about the country they are living in during the experience. At the end of each journey, teachers and travelers arrange a videoconference so that students can ask questions in real time. This is a great opportunity for my students to learn about a country they might not have known existed.
