These desks will allow my scholars to have more flexibility in collaborating with their peers. The desks can fit singularly in my classroom and they can put them together in almost any arrangement so they can collaborate face to face. The desks we have right now are large and rectangular and due to space constraints, they cannot be re-arranged effectively to enhance collaboration and safely allow movement about the room. Many of my scholars also have their backs to the board, which doesn't allow for effective learning. With these new desks, my scholars will have the flexibility to collaborate safely in both small and large groups while maximizing space in the classroom. They will also be able to navigate the classroom in a safer manner and will be able to face any direction, reducing strain on their necks and eyes while enhancing their attention and learning. My scholars love hands-on learning with their peers and this can make it a safer and more feasible option!
