With these tablets, we will use a stop animation app and students’ creativity to make mini-movies. Students will draw, sculpt, and create scenes to be photographed then put together to make a movie. I will use these with Kindergarten through fifth-grade students in the art room in varying degrees to match their ability. I hope this becomes an activity that builds a reputation in the school so the kids look forward to the next school year so they can advance to using the technology with little assistance. I want the younger kids to hear about what we are doing in the older grades so they are excited about learning more. The previous art teacher did not introduce this art form so this would be a brand new exploration in visual arts for the entire school.
