This project consists in using these tablets as an engaging and refreshing educational tool since the students will be able to use the applications found in these tablets in new and different ways to learn and apply concepts of language arts, science, and mathematics. Not only is it easier for the students to learn with these brand-new gadgets, these tablets will also create a fun environment in which the students can enjoy themselves while receiving an appropriate education. It will give them another reason to look forward to coming to the classroom and will expand on their creative mindset as they usually don’t get to explore this kind of opportunity at home. Another strong goal for having the tablets for students to create their own portfolio via different apps for their works, which would allow them to show their past activities by recording themselves while doing these activities. Having them access their past work will help me keep them motivated when tracking and showing improvement and will allow me to further identify how I can help them grow and learn if I am able to see their progress at all times. Since the students will be sharing their work from their tablets to the rest of the class, they will also be working on their oral and writing skills holistically. Ultimately, this project will allow the kids to learn and to master the use of technology, a fundamental part of educating our future.
