Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and allows them the option to choose what works best for them. I find students are more engaged when they have the choice. Currently my students have the option to sit at tables, at the carpet or in our library area of the classroom. I have found when they have the choice to choose their seat they are more engaged and focused on completing their work. As a newer teacher I do not have a lot of options for my students and would love the opportunity to give them choices. The products I have selected will give my students additional seating choices. The dry erase boards will be useful in large group instruction as well as small groups. The clipboards will provide my students the opportunity to walk around the room while completing daily work. I have also chosen magnetic letters to be used during our small group lessons as well as independently.
