My students will be able to gain new experiences through these books. Our school is very diverse. I often have students from around the world in my classroom. These stories will help make all my students feel valued and important. I want to make sure all of my students feel as if they belong in my class. These books will help introduce students to different cultures around the world. These stories focus on how individuals can positively impact and change the world around them! By sharing these stories I hope to empower my students to become agents of change! Students will read these books with others that share their same reading level and/or interest. These books will offer choice to the student groups. I hope that they will devope deep connections to the themes and characters in these stories. As they create these deep connections together, I hope that they being to understand the value of each other and the friendships they develop.
