As a teacher of second grade I strive to inspire all my students to become avid readers and writers...how else can one visit all the special places that books offer us? Terri Fields, the author of more than twenty-two children's books, will come to our school and present exciting workshops for the children. In a fun, age-appropriate manner, Terri will teach them about characterization and voice. She will also show students the necessary steps for creating a book. Most importantly, Miss Fields will interact with the students so they can become part of her story. What better way to make reading come alive than a visit from a renowned children's author.
