I am requesting face shields to protect my students throughout the day, activity mats that can be wiped down and that I will assign to each student for "carpet" time, and name plates to keep one personal pencil. These materials will help give my students some peace about staying safe as we navigate through this unknown school year. Each student will be in charge of their own materials. My hope is to eliminate the use of community supplies by using these name plate trays where they can keep their own personal pencil and name tag. The colorful shape mats will help give my students a sense of safety as they will not be sharing these during carpet time and will be responsible for keeping their sit mat with them at all times. Face shields will be worn throughout the day to help keep the spread of the virus from one another, myself, as well as my co-workers. I hope that you will consider helping us stay safe!
