I am hoping to get my students a working cash register for the cafe this year. Right now we only have a cash box and it has its challenges. If we had a working cash register, I would be able to work with the math teacher and teach our students how to count coins and bills, have a starting total of cash on Cafe days, make change and most importantly, use their communication skills to interact with customers (Good Morning!, What did you get from us today? Have a great day!). We also really need clean professional looking aprons for the students, We take our cafe very seriously and having matching aprons will give the students the professional look they need every day. We have a working washing machine and dryer on site so other skills are learning how to do the laundry. These life skills are just a fraction of what we strive to teach our students each and every day
