These drums will provide learners with the confidence and ability to express themselves in a safe and energetic environment! These materials are needed to set up a basic African percussion ensemble. Students will be able to perform on these instruments for many school events. It will serve many roles in the school. I plan to use the drumming ensemble to provide music for pep rallies, assemblies, special events, and dance groups. We plan to do several performances at other schools within the district to encourage students to join our program and continue to grow and be involved in music. This will give my students a well-rounded and diverse educational experience in the performing arts. Students will be able to express themselves to each other and represent their school spirit. This will be highly inspirational for students and adults to see the value of music in the classroom and encourage younger children to become involved in the program. Our drum ensemble will help us build and grow our program and give the gift of music throughout the city of Philadelphia!
