Educational research on brain compatible learning shows that one of the easiest things you can do for students is create the right environment for learning. Natural light of course is best, however learning outside is not always an option. Our school building is over fifty years old and is outfitted with minimal natural light and the traditional fluorescent lights that blink and shine just a little too bright. The fluorescent light covers will improve focus and attention in the classroom. By creating a comfortable environment for students their brains will be better prepared for learning. It is essential that we start our youngest learners out with the best foundation.
