By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. As the school year begins I am able to reflect back on some activities that I wish I could have made happen for my students last year. Our school is in a very high poverty area. 100% of my students receive free lunch. Many of them do not come to school with a single supply all year long. It is my goal to take the burdens off the students that have not and give them everything they need to be successful throughout the school year. It is by no fault of the student that they are without what they need to be successful. As a teacher, you can tell that when a student is without the basic necessities it is tough to make it through the school year. I would love to be able to make it so they are able to focus on learning 100% of the time and not what they are going to write with or how they are going to get this assignment done without scissors. With your help,​ I could take the focus off the things the students don't have and allow them to focus on what they are learning!
