This year I am wanting to express the importance of reading. We will also focus on comprehension skills. Reading allows students to travel the world without leaving the classroom. Exposure to a variety of literature opens children's eyes to different eras and cultures. This year I would like to create a reading corner, so my students can have a comfy area to read their favorite book . This area would be the go to spot for afternoon group readings. Ideally, I would like to purchase more books for my class library, two bean bags, and a lamp. Thank you!
