The use of whiteboards is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math. Students come to their assigned carpet mark with whiteboards for guided practice and to record modeled strategies. The whiteboards allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. What becomes a problem is the fact that the markers never seem to last, erasers seem to disappear, the whiteboards slowly become damaged frequent use, and the Carpet Mark Its become frayed and torn due to daily vacuuming. Lastly, the book bins requested will allow for me to replace existing bins that have become damaged through years of use. These bins help me to organize my classroom library, making it easier for students to find appropriate books that are on their reading level.
