My students love shared reading! It's a way for the lowest and highest reader to enjoy the same book and participate in rich discussion and debate. I choose highly engaging stories that a variety of readers enjoy for shared reading. The Shadow Children Series is an engaging series that grabs the readers attention from the very first paragraph. These books will allow each student in my class to join in during shared reading. They will participate in rich discussions, debates, and group projects that will help increase their learning. When my students beg to read one more chapter before we stop for that day, I know they are hooked on a good book. These books will hook my students and grow their love of reading. As a teacher, and a reader, nothing makes me happier than seeing another generation of students love to read!
