In order to provide the absolute best classroom environment possible for my students, I am seeking some start-up supplies. As a first-year Teach for America teacher, I will begin my journey teaching in a Title I school where school supplies can be limited. Instead of being distracted by a lack of resources, I hope for my students to be able to be completely focused on their learning and community building. As a first-year teacher, I don't have a ton of extra funds to be spending on my classroom, even though I would like to. I cannot wait to welcome my third graders into their home away from home -- a place we can make our own and always feel welcome and safe. These supplies will make a huge impact on the lives of my students, giving them a greater opportunity to achieve success and growth throughout our school year. Crayons, pencils, scissors, glue - I think sometimes these materials are taken for granted in classrooms. Until you don't have them, you don't realize how essential they are for everyday life with kiddos. Thank you very much for your support in my first year in the classroom! I cannot wait to get started with my third graders!
