I would like to give my students a chance to have options for seating other than just our regular school chairs. I believe that we don't all sit or learn the same way. Since students are in a classroom for several hours a day, they should have a variety of types of seating to help them focus on their learning instead of their comfort. Alternative seating for students is key to helping them get the most out of their learning. The wobble stools will allow students who need to squirm to be able to do so without being so disruptive. Several students in fifth grade still need to be able to move around and get some movement throughout the day. These stools will allow just that. They will be able to move while focusing on their schoolwork. The pub table will allow students to either stand comfortably while doing work or to sit at higher stools to do work. Some students like to stand to do work, but then have to lean over their desks. While I have some counter space in my room for students to stand and work, the pub table will allow extra space for standing, but it can also be used in conjunction with high stools for an alternative seating. The pub table will also make a great space for me to conference with students one-on-one.
