Research has shown that field trips for students with special needs provide real world learning that can't be recreated in a classroom setting. Our students struggle with impulse control and anger management. Field trips offer them hands-on experiences to improve their social skills and reinforce classroom lessons and brings them to life. We have seen students from many different classrooms in our building come out of their shells on field trips and develop new friendships and leadership skills. Our students don't have access to opportunities that most kids in traditional schools do because of their special needs and our lack of funding for field trip experiences. You can make a difference in these kids life by donating anything that you can.
