I love to read and I want my students to love to read also. I found that when reading something you are interested in, it becomes more of a hobby and not a job and it enjoyable. I think my students will be able to relate more to stories of people that look like them and have similar experiences. Think about it, usually when we meet someone, we attempt to find something we have in common with them and build off of that. With each book, I'd like to do a novel study, starting in September. Each chapter will have questions to follow. Some days it'll be a class discussion, group discussion, or independent thinking/writing time.
