I am an avid reader and love reading to my students. I love to see their faces light up when we read together and hear the laughter fill the classroom when I read something that cracks us all up! I was not able to read until first grade. I faked reading all thru Kindergarten and it was my first grade teacher who figured out that I was not reading. She made me fall in love with reading and gave me the confidence to be a reader. Here I am all these years later teaching the love of reading to first grade students! I want to give my students a safe and inviting place where they can learn to fall in love with books. This will set the stage for who they become in life and what path they take in their lives. Thank you for giving these very deserving kids a huge gift that will set the stage for the rest of their loves.
