The yoga mats will be used on a daily basis in our kindergarten class. We will use them for our short relaxation (teacher reading) time to rest our bodies during our high demanding school day. They will also be used during our weekly whole class yoga time where we will be calming and focusing on our bodies to relax, build coordination, and work on our emotional well being! Our emotional health is important to effective learning in the classroom. My kids need to be in the best state of mind to effectively learn and grow as members of our society. Daily life is very stressful, but can be helped by practicing positive self-soothing habits and mindfulness. My kids would love to have yoga mats to have their own designated space during these times.
