When we think about reading in school some of us have terrible memories of books and experiences that did not engage us or make us excited about reading or school. If you support my project you will ensure that our students of color will have books in their hands by authors who look like them and characters that reflect their experiences. In addition, you will be putting highly engaging graphic novels and diverse texts into our kids' hands to help our reluctant and resistant readers really grow as learners!! Get students the books that will make them excited to read!

About my class
