These rugs will help build a comfortable learning environment where all students can be seen and heard. We will hold morning meetings, important discussions, academic lessons, and shares on the main rug which focuses on how to build an empathetic learning community. Students will read, write, and share book suggestions on the reading rug. The flexible seats will provide students with comfort no matter where they are learning, and gives them ownership in the learning community. These flexible seating options will give students choice in their learning spaces so they can feel comfortable and confident in the work they do in our learning community. Each child has an important place in our classroom, and these flexible seating options will help solidify those spaces for my students. In order for our best learning to happen, students will be comfortable in their work areas -- your donation to this project will help make that happen. Thank you for helping us feel safe, welcome, and valued in our comfortable, empathetic classroom!
