My project plans are to place the rug in the center of the library and the book shelves on the perimeter of the rug against the wall. This will create a community feel and allow the opportunity for several readers to enjoy their books at the same time. The library books will be categorized into "genres" and I will label and add a corresponding picture to each basket. This will help my students easily make a reading selection based on their interests. This library space will foster my students love for reading and give us a communal space for learning. This will also serve as a "circle time" center where we will do a lot of hands-on learning and gather as a classroom and even more, a community.
