Flexible seating arrangements help students with anxiety and depression learn in a better environment by allowing them to learn in their least restrictive environments. Students who suffer from emotional traumas often have anxiety and all-around nervousness, which is why flexible seating, where they feel most comfortable, helps them absorb information and stay focused during class. Flexible seating such as bean bags, yoga balls, and love seats with clip boards allow students to make small movements, or fidgeting, without disrupting their classmates. Flexible seating for students with trauma-related disabilities allows them a release of energy, which helps to keep them focused and engaged during lessons.
