I am teaching life skills in Physical Education. I teach overall health concepts with team building. I use the Leader in Me model that builds leadership and life skills in students, creates a high-trust school culture, and lays the foundation for sustained academic achievement. I use the games to teach organization that can translate to their classroom and home life. I need baskets to help organize the equipment and it will also be used in our games. The baskets can be used as targets, hoops, and organizers. The students learn to strategize and approach the challenges in our class. If I have nets I can teach them more games. The sweatbands are an easy way to designate teams. They are easier to wash and disinfect than pinnies. I tie what we have done in the gym into their regular classroom and their home lives. When they learn to approach the challenge in small increments it creates a sense of accomplishment. The stereo is a way to provide music to walk to and create an association between music and healthy lifestyle like walking and movement.
