My students are highly energetic, motivated and eager to learn. At this age they are sponges waiting to absorb everything they are exposed to. Teaching them how to think, create, work hard and even fail is part of preparing them for life-long learning. I believe with a positive, rigorous learning environment, the right materials, enthusiastic educators and parental support my students can thrive and excel at whatever they choose to do. Our school population consists of almost equal percentages of African American and Caucasian students and a very small percentage of Hispanic or other denominations. Students that come from low-income families face many challenges, but what they need is extra support to bridge the gap between them and their peers. Through your donations my student's can have a fighting chance at making gains and surpassing all expectations that have been set for them.
