This year, my Kindergarten students have been learning digitally. They have been the best little learners, always trying their best. Kindergarteners learn best when learning is hands-on! I would love to be able to give each one of my students their own learning pack to use at home during our guided reading time, that includes their own set of letters, a dry-erase board with lines, markers, erasers, and a journal. Our guided reading activities play a vital role in the development of the foundational skills, which leads to students becoming successful readers. Giving my digital learners materials that they can use at home to have the same experience as they would have face-to-face has been my biggest challenge, yet most sought after goal this year.
