My project is to acquire a new area rug type of carpet for my second grade class. Our class will use a new carpet as a gathering place for morning meetings, where we share about ourselves and our plans for the future. I will use the carpet space to read to my students, and hopefully instill a love of reading in them! The carpet space of our classroom is the heart of our room, and the place where we gather together throughout our days. Students can use this space to do partner activities together, as well as whole group activities.
