Kinder kiddos need to wiggle! These stretchy foot bands will be a game changer on our regular classroom chairs! The balance ball will keep them happy as they bounce through our lessons. Our new carpet will give us a fun place to meet all together! Lastly, the surf portable lap desks will give my kiddos the ability to move around the room to where they'd like to work while still having the stability of a small desk to work on. All of these items will allow them to quietly continue to move throughout our lessons without being disruptive. Kindergarten children are expected to perform to higher standards every year, and it’s important to make their learning developmentally appropriate and fun. Flexible seating gives my students the opportunity to work wherever they see fit and the ability to try their very best while feeling comfortable. For some children, this is in a regular chair, but for many it is lying on the floor, sitting on a cushion, or standing. I am hoping the new seating options in our classroom will truly help engage my kiddos!
