These materials will provide more resources that encourage reading for the students. The books are all events or people that we will cover in social studies and provide ample opportunity to tie them into the literature aspect of our reading class. The classroom supplies are useful in that many of my students are not able to bring in their own, and we use a great deal of glue with our journals. The dry erase clipboards will give the students the ability to be engaged in classroom discussions, but also help them organize their work for the day. All materials will be used with respect and gratitude. It is important that you know that I teach my students to be appreciative and respectful of all materials because we are lucky to have them. Therefore they are a treasure to us and tools to help us learn.
