These books and cozy seating options will enhance the literacy experience for my students as they develop as readers and writers, fueling a passion for literacy in their native language in the process. Those of us who are lucky have memories of fun classroom niches where we could lose the sense of time while reading treasured books and writing-- I want to provide this magical experience to my students by providing them with fun places to read and write, and books that include their favorite characters. Tracking down my students' favorite books in Spanish can prove to be a challenge, but that doesn't make it any less important! I believe that combined with cozy and flexible seating that makes my students eager to dive into independent reading and writing, these classic children's books will help them to fall further in love with reading.
