As young students, in school for the first time, they need organization and familiarity! I hope to provide that for them with seat back pockets and an area rug for our calendar time. This will help them learn responsibility, raised by needing to put things back where they belong but also feeling a sense of ownership since it is on their own personal chair. The area rug will help us at center time so the children know where to sit and become familiar with the alphabet. As a new teacher, I sincerely appreciate any help sent my way!
