My students deserve the most basic supplies to succeed in school! They are outstanding students, but many come from families who can't afford to provide them with the supplies they need to use in class every day. These students work hard every day in class, but without pencils, erasers, paper, and more it can be hard for us to get down to the work we need to do!
Students shouldn't have to worry about whether they can succeed in school because they don't have a pencil or notebook. Most of my students are one to two levels behind grade level compared to their peers and we need to concern ourselves with academics and not basic needs.
I want my students to know they can come to class and have the supplies they need for the day whether they have brought them or they get them from me. The items in my project will allow my students to be successful, as well as for us to be able to work in small groups to ensure my students are getting individualized attention.
