Throughout the six years of my teaching career, I have observed that traditional classroom desk and chairs are no longer suited to meet the needs of some students. I have a wide variety of students that learn in different ways and have different needs in order for them to be successful in class. There are some that have difficulty paying attention or need to move around to stay focused. Flexible Seating would learn best when they are given opportunities for choice and when they are comfortable in their environment. Flexible seating gives them an opportunity for just that. Flexible seating allows students to do pay attention and focus by allowing them to move. The products that I have selected will give students a choice of what they would like to sit on while working in the classroom. The Balance Balls and Wobble Stools will allow the students who need more movement withing the classroom to bounce and/or wiggle. The Chairs will give students who choose to use them a comfortable place to read while sitting on the floor. The Wobble Cushions will give those the freedom to use it either at their seat or on the floor to rock back and forth. These option will give the students the opportunity to sit in a way that is best suited for their learning style.
