All of the students with the exception of 4 students in my class joined band. The selection process for the band was first come first serve. Due to the lack of instruments and lack of funds to buy the instruments, the four students couldn't join the school band. However, all four students have interest in playing the guitar. Having the acoustic guitars will help my students to join the school band and it will make them feel inclusive. The students that are already in the school band are thriving in music and academics. Helping these students to join the school band will allow them to read musical notes and find their passion in music. Perhaps, one day they can obtain a scholarship to Juilliard or LaGuardia High School.
