These whisper phones will be a great addition to my first grade classroom. They will help my students hear themselves reading, which may not seem like a big deal to most, but for beginning readers, it's essential! Many students need to read aloud to make meaning of the text. My students are beginning readers and will benefit from hearing themselves decode words. Whisper phones is an engaging way to get students interested in reading! My students will use these while in reading groups. The phones provide an opportunity to hear themselves while also staying quiet so not to disturb other readers.
