These materials will make a huge difference in the learning of my scholars during our Small Group times where we focus on skills that they are struggling in as well as skills that will increase their knowledge to encourage their thinking at present grade level. Power Pen Cards will also be used during scholars' Choice Board times as they explore activities to work on during their WIN (What I Need) time. I will intentionally work with scholars on what they are in need of with multiplication as it relates to the lessons that I am reteaching them. I can also measure what they lack in reading comprehension with math equations and focus on specific instruction to understand word problems. Individual and small group instruction is important because it gives scholars confidence to answer questions and not be ashamed as in a whole group setting. The scholars will not be able to take these tools home however, they will be made available to them throughout their learning day in my classroom.
