All students learn at their own pace. Why not allow them to position themselves physically in a space that allows them to learn in their own way? When students are at home, they are surrounded with seating options. They will inevitably chose the seating that is most conducive to their own learning. Allowing the same in a classroom makes each student able to select the seating best for them. My goal is to have an inviting and comfortable room for my second graders and their families. I would like our classroom to feel like home. Please help in making this happen!
