These materials will support two inclusion classroom settings where the need to move around while learning is extremely important. Our school focuses on academics and movement, so these materials exactly align with our school mission! Both Ms. Keller and myself currently have mismatched desks that are uncomfortable and tricky to move around our classrooms. These materials would allow students to have some choice in where and how they sit to learn math. Brain research shows that kinesthetic learning increases learning capacity, improves memory, and enhances motivation. These are three perfect elements to a strong classroom environment where students are leaving prepared for the next grade, high school, and the world beyond. We all know that American students are not getting enough movement in their daily life anyway, why not help these kids get more movement into their day while learning new math content? Helping to purchase these materials will impact students in two different classrooms, so almost 300 students! Ms. Keller and myself cannot thank you enough for supporting our students!
