Kindergarten is a magical year where the learning curve skyrockets! When the students are able to apply their knowledge through lessons with an artistic element, they: are more engaged, deepen their understanding, practicing fine motor skills, practice patience, take ownership/pride in their work, and the list could go on. For many of the students, this is their first time learning how to use scissors and other materials safely in a nurturing environment. The scissors, glue, and construction paper are used daily to emphasize learned material and practice social-emotional development through sharing and treating materials kindly. Help me to make this year magical for each student! Their beautiful artwork is proudly displayed in the classroom making them feel accomplished and eager to learn even more. The benefits of learning through art are invaluable, especially at this early developmental age.
