I am hoping to raise the funds to get a classroom rug. This will be a comfortable, clean place for my students to sit when we are learning. In first grade, we spend a large portion of our school day exploring and learning on the carpet. This rug will help students feel like they have their own personal space when sitting on the floor. It will also provide increased comfort for them, as they are sitting directly on the floor right now. Students will also be able to have a cozy space to read their books and work with their classmates other than a table and chair.
