Backpacks will make a difference in a students learning by addressing the need to feel like their peers and fitting in from the first day of school. Our students families low-income doesn't allow their parents the affordability to purchase supplies or backpacks. My students are often seen struggling in the hallways and being late to class due to not having backpacks to organize and make it easy for them to hold all of their books and supplies needed for their classes. My students would be very grateful to be able to have a backpack to be able to carry all of their supplies to and from their house and not feel anxious of left out because they don't have one.

About my class
