A document camera will be life long technology that I can use continuously for years to come. I have recently made it a mission to teach students how to annotate a math textbook using strategies from their English class. Students often have a hard time focusing on what I'm highlighting or noting on the text because every time I scroll down, I have to erase my notes. With a document camera I don't have to erase my annotations and I can zoom in as much as I can when I need to emphasize a piece of text. Additionally, I don't like giving the students my back most of the class and the document camera will allow me to spend more time facing them as I teach.
