I am a school social worker that will be working with students grades k-5. I will be running groups, meeting IEP minutes and utilizing push-in services. There will also be times I will work with various self-contained classrooms. This is my first year as a school social worker, so I’m limited on materials. The requested supplies will give me the tools needed to help my students work on conflict resolution, learning to advocate for themselves, maintaining friendships/establishing appropriate boundaries and identifying healthier ways to release aggression. I'm hopeful about establishing rapport with my students and feel the requested supplies can help us start the year out on a positive note!
