These desks will make my classroom more accommodating to all students. When students have the chance to stand while they work, it is not only better for their health, but really helps those students who are active. Research has shown that when students have the ability to alternate from sitting and standing while working, it decreases the risks of disease, helps with maintaining a healthy weight and aides in the ability to focus on tasks. My hope is for these desks to become a part of my classroom, so my students can have a work space that will set the tone for a healthier lifestyle for the present and the future!

About my class
