Students are growing up in a time where how to learn to use technology is just as important to learn as much as reading, writing and math. Students are being asked to practice their basic skills, research, complete and store assignments on computers. Despite the growing use of technology in education and their everyday lives, the students in my classroom have the opportunity to only use the computer room for a half-hour a week. The infrequent use of this technology places them behind other students that have technology readily available. By having Chromebooks inside the classroom students will learn and develop necessary skills. These Chromebooks will allow students to become familiar with basic typing and keyboarding. They will allow the opportunity to research and practice their fluency in reading and math. Students will be able to research information, complete, save and share assignments with each other. Thank you in advance helping me achieve the goal of providing students with the opportunity to gain frequent access to technology which will assist in their overall educational development.
